NY BASED AWARD-WINNING TELEVISION, FILM, THEATRE AND COMMERCIAL ACTOR.
Raised in the foothills of the Berkshires, Ryan got his start as a child opera singer. He later went on to study acting at the legendary Circle in the Square Theatre School on Broadway in New York, the alma mater of such actors as Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Benicio Del Toro, Kevin Bacon and Lady Gaga.
Fresh out of school he was awarded the highly coveted “Best Actor” award from the New York International Fringe Festival for his portrayal of Ben in “In The Summer Pavilion”, for which New York Times states, “Ben, the morose little Grad lost, shows the most range, thanks to the acting chops of Ryan Barry who plays him.”
Shortly thereafter, Barry began appearing on stages across the country and across the globe in leading roles, from Second Stage in NY, to the world renowned Wooly Mammoth Theatre in Washington DC, all the way to Dublin’s Beckett Theatre.
Making the jump from stage to screen, Barry has worked extensively on high profile Television Shows and in Independent Film. He can now be seen on Showtime’s/Netflix’s number one hit Series, BILLIONS, spanning all five seasons to date in the role of “IT Greg”.
In the Commercial World, he has voiced major national and international campaigns for brands such as Estee Lauder, Apple Computers, The New York Times, Oikios Yogurt, , Budweiser, The Lincoln Motor Company and many others.
He currently resides in Brooklyn with his beloved plants, his pair of turntables, collection of rare vinyl and a large pile of Japanese Language Text Books.
